The beginning of a conceptual dream-like series that captures the soothing movement of flora and intoxicating tranquility along the tidal marshes of one of the Lowcountry’s most mesmerizing wildlife refuges and surrounding areas, through long-exposure photography.

Enshrouded in a dense blanket of Winter fog along the edge of Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats, the vast surrounding mountains all but vanished, and the world fell eerily silent. In this already barren stretch of desert along Interstate 80, distance grew infinite and time seemingly stood still. I was entranced—lingering in the silence, in no rush to leave the ghostly, reassuring calm.

Kelly O'Leary is a professional B&W fine art landscape and nature photographer, contemporary abstract artist, and designer based in the Savannah, Georgia metro area, U.S. With a profound connection to her richly diverse coastal surroundings and endless inspiration from her travels and explorations through nature, from mountains to sea, she captures quiet, intimate stories of place with a uniquely sensitive aesthetic.
